About

Human Knives

In 2006 I recorded a number of electronic cover versions of an Oxford based indie band called The Young Knives. In February 2007 I releases a limited edition (500 copies) 7” red vinyl record under the name the Human Knives on Transgressive Records.

House of Tracks

In January 2006 I started my own online music review magazine called House of Tracks from my bedroom in Solihull, England. I regularly attended and wrote about festivals such as Glastonbury, The Secret Garden Party, The Great Escape, Rockness, Tales of The Jackalope, All Tomorrows Parties and Camden Crawl. I also interviewed such artists as We Are Scientists, Foals, Kate Nash, The Kaiser Chiefs, Kid Koala, Plaid, Chk Chk Chk, Klaxons and The Young Knives.

In November 2007 I took House of Tracks in to print for two months. I distributed 5,000 copies of the magazine to trendy shops, venues, cafes and bars in London, Brighton, Oxford and Birmingham from the back of my car. At the same time, me and my friends organised a magazine launch party at The Luminaire in Kilburn, London. The Ripps headlined the night with support from Tim Ten Yen and Clanky Robo Gob Jobs.

House of Tracks ceased in 2010 when I moved to New Zealand and re-launched when I returned in April 2012.

iM aSkew

In March 2010 I started a weekly radio show on 95bFM called iM aSkew with my partner Dedee Wirjapranata in Auckland City, New Zealand.

The show is a cocktail of wonky, woozy, glitch, kitsch, left of centre, uneasy listening; mixed with a few 95bFM favourites. Expect to hear demos, white labels, remixes and rare live recordings from around the globe.

The show is live every Thursday morning 4am to 6am (UTC+12), Listen Live from anywhere in the world.

Rip It Up

In June 2010 I became the Online Content Editor for ripitup.co.nz at Satellite Media in Ponsonby, Auckland, New Zealand.
